Placement.
Mihai Bocsa, Director
Romania’s abandoned children belong to
no one – new laws prevent placement of these unwanted
children in other countries. Many Romanians believe these
children are “damaged goods” and not desirable.
Other Romanians realize adding another child to their family
is impossible financially. That is where RCE steps in.
RCE provided education in local churches, community
groups and through the media about the plight of these abandoned
children.
But the financial challenge of adding another child to a family
is a strong barrier to adoption. RCE developed its Love House
program to address the economic needs of Romanian families
committed to the biblical principle of adoption.

Its a fact:
• RCE started Speranta Copiilor in 1994
–
one of the countries first private adoption agencies
• 85 children have been placed in families since 1994 through RCE/Speranta Copiilor
• Adopted children continue to receive
follow up support of medical and educational assistance
• 24 Love House families with 37 previously abandoned children (most with disabilities)
• Speranta Copiilor families attend RCE’s
summer camp and other events together
