The "Walk-by-Me" walk-a-thon
The "Walk-by-Me" walk-a-thon held
in Arad, Romania on September 12 was an amazing success! Over
2100 people participated, including the mayor and other local
dignitaries, Romanian celebrities, and officials from Bucharest.
The event was featured on the local evening news and was on
the front page of all the local newspapers the next day. To
date, over $10,000 has been raised in Arad, an amazing sum
where the average take home pay is less than $200 per month.
Even more importantly, hearts and minds were
touched. Many people's response was: "these special needs
children are our children and we need to love them and take
care of them..." And God was praised and glorified from
the steps of city hall and in countless conversations!
